Rewriting the Script

The truth is... you're not broken. You're just following an outdated story.

The Invisible Script That Runs Your Life

I used to believe I was doomed to fail.
That no matter how hard I tried… I’d always mess it up in the end.

Turns out, I wasn’t broken.
I was just following an old script.

And you probably are too.

We all carry stories.
Stories written by pain, trauma, shame, addiction, rejection.

They sound like:

  • “I’ll never be good enough.”

  • “No one really cares.”

  • “I’m just not meant to win.”

  • “I always screw things up eventually.”

  • “It’s too late for me to change.”

These stories get installed deep.
By the people who hurt you.
By the moments that shattered you.
By the version of you that only knew survival.

But that story is not your destiny.

The Script Is the Ceiling

Most men try to change their habits
When what they need to do is rewrite the story behind the habits.

You don’t rise to the level of your goals.
You fall to the level of your self-perception.

If you still see yourself as broken, weak, or destined to fail,
That story will pull you right back down, no matter how hard you try.

You’re not lazy.
You’re not unmotivated.
You’re not undisciplined.

You’re just stuck in a loop that was never yours to begin with.

✍️ How to Rewrite the Script

This isn’t about affirmations or fluff.
This is about ownership.
Burning the lies and forging something stronger.

Here’s the 3-step process I walk through (and coach clients through):

1. Spot the Loop

What’s the belief that keeps pulling you back?
Write it out. Say it out loud. Name the enemy.

“I’m a screw-up.”
“I’ll never change.”
“I don’t deserve a better life.”

2. Burn the Lies

Ask yourself:

  • Where did this come from?

  • What has it cost me?

  • What would my life look like without this belief?

Write it down. Burn it. Destroy it. Rip it to shreds.

3. Install the Truth

Replace the loop with a code of honor.
A new story. A new standard.

Speak it daily like it’s your battle cry.

“I am not my past. I am not my pain. I am who I choose to become.”

“I am a builder. I am a leader. I forge my own future.”

My New Story Is This:

I was never too broken.
I was just following someone else’s narrative.

Now?
I’m writing my own.

And every man who’s ready to stop reacting…
And start rebuilding

Can do the same.
